TITLE: WHY ME?
Over the years I have asked the Lord, Why Me? Why do I have to go through this situation? Why did this happen to me? Each time, God answered, “Why not you!” I could not answer the question without being honest; therefore, I responded “Why not me.”
Many individuals have found themselves in some situation that is terrible. Why did it happen? Why didn’t God intervene? Well, the Word says in
I Peter 4:12-16
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
I have to admit that when I found myself in these unwanted circumstances, I did pray more and studied the Word more. I even spent more time in meditating on the Word of God. Why did I do that? Most of the time, we do not press towards God in an urgent manner until we find ourselves in a test or tribulation of some sort.
I have learned to seek God no matter if I am in a bad situation or if I am in a good situation. I have learned to press towards God when everything is going well and I have learned to press towards God when everything is not going so well. I have learned to praise and worship God in every season of my life. I decided to make every trial of my faith a stepping stone where I grow closer to Father God.
In I Peter 1: 7, the scripture says:
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”
When I find myself in a test, I meditate on the great things God has done for me. I meditate on how good God is and that He is still God. He is still worthy to be praised; just because He is God!! After that, I cannot but Praise God!

Stand firm
2 My brothers and sisters, think of the various tests you encounter as occasions for joy. 3 After all, you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 Let this endurance complete its work so that you may be fully mature, complete, and lacking in nothing. 5 But anyone who needs wisdom should ask God, whose very nature is to give to everyone without a second thought, without keeping score. Wisdom will certainly be given to those who ask. 6 Whoever asks shouldn’t hesitate. They should ask in faith, without doubting. Whoever doubts is like the surf of the sea, tossed and turned by the wind. 7 People like that should never imagine that they will receive anything from the Lord. 8 They are double-minded, unstable in all their ways.
Therefore, when you find yourself in a test, don't ask God "Why me?" say "Why not Me" This is a good time for God to show Himself Mighty!!
Allow God to be the potter and you humble yourself and be the clay.
Jeremiah 18:1-6 (KJV)
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
Can God make and mold you so that He can use You??
Whenever a thought comes to your mind,
"Why Me" answer and say "Why Not Me"
